After the launch of the 911 Turbo S last March, Porsche introduced the 911 Turbo 2021, which has 70 HP lower powers. Four months after the debut of the 911 Turbo S 992 generation, it is now the turn of the Porsche 911 Turbo 2021 to come in a choice of body Coupe and Cabriolet, which is positioned as a cheaper alternative to the Turbo S, the latest generation 911 flagship with 650 HP and 800 Nm of torque. Using the exact same engine as the Turbo S, 3,745 cc turbo with twin variable turbine geometry (VTG) technology, 911 Turbo 2020 produces power of 580 HP and 750 Nm of torque.
Porsche 911 Turbo 2021 – Thrifty Packages with Topnotch Performance
Compared to the 991 generation, the Porsche 911 Turbo 2021 gets a power surge of 40 HP and with torque that can be achieved without over boosting. The power, torque, and acceleration figures of this car also equal the 911 Turbo S, which accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 320 km / h.
Porsche still uses a PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission with an adjustable setup for the 911 Turbo. The gearbox sends engine power to the PTM all-wheel-drive drive system which can regulate the amount of power flowed to the front wheels better than before, just like the current Turbo S.
Tires tread width increases, 42 mm at the front and 10 mm at the same back as the Turbo S, the overall width is the same, 1,840 mm at the front and 1,900 mm at the rear. The tire specifications used are the same, striped 255/35 R20 at the front, and 315/30 R21 at the rear.
Prepare a myriad of high performance options
In addition to the standard PASM suspension, the 911 Turbo 2021 also comes with a sports suspension option that makes the car 10 mm lower and slightly stiffer. The standard brakes use a 408 mm iron plate at the front and 380 mm at the rear, with a ceramic brake with 10 piston front brake calipers present as an alternative.
The weight of the 911 Turbo 2020 can also be trimmed with the Lightweight Design package, which reduces the weight of the car to 30 kg by installing a carbon seat bucket seat, rear seat removed, and reducing the cabin damper. Concerning interior features, the Porsche 911 Turbo 2021 is the same as the other 992 generation 911, I.e. 10.9-inch PCM screen infotainment, electric seats with 14 types of settings, Bose Surround Sound System, Sport Chrono Package, and many more.
