The all-new 2014 Lexus RC Coupe has been officially revealed and is scheduled to make its public debut at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show to be held on November 23 to December 1, 2013. Early last month we also brought two leaked images of the new RC F coupe, you can read it here.
Lexus plans to show off two different versions of the RC Coupe at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month – RC 350 and RC 300h Hybrid. The 350 RC versions is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, while the RC 300h Hybrid will feature a 2.5-liter gasoline engine linked exclusively to an electric motor.
The 2014 Lexus RC Coupe borrows some more aggressive exterior elements from the two Lexus concept car – LF-CC and LF-LC. Highlighting exterior features, including distinctive Lexus spindle grille, triangular shaped headlamps with three LED lights, 18-inch five-spoke alloy and 19-inch ten-spoke wheels (optional).
Both versions “RC 350 and RC 300h Hybrid” have the same overall dimensions, 4693mm length, 1838mm width, 1394mm height and 2,730mm wheelbase. Inside the cabin, the latest Lexus concept also gives inspiration to the RC coupe interior, interior features include instrument panel, 7-inch navigation screen, layered center console and new Lexus Remote Touch Interface.
Meanwhile, talking about the RC F coupe, Lexus reportedly put the 5.0-liter V8 engine connected to an eight-speed automated manual gearbox, capable of developing 455 HP at 6,800 rpm and 401 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm. More details will be available at the Tokyo Motor Show, which will be opened for the public on November 23.
