Mostly Based on the Kia Telluride Concept… ???
In fact, the 2020 Telluride crossover is the biggest SUV ever produced by Kia and Hyundai so far. That’s much bigger than the Borrego SUV and the three-row crossover Kia Sorento which has become Borrego’s successor in the United States since 2011. It has a biggest fully-boxy design that is really bold, tough and not boring, makes me remember and think about the upcoming 2020 Ford Bronco.
Set to be the biggest three-row crossover in the Kia SUV lineup and positioned above Sorento. It might be a bit more adopting a bolder design style derived from the Kia Telluride concept car that was first introduced at the 2016 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). However, the new Telluride SUV has a more distinctive design with truck-like silhouettes, full boxy-shaped style, as well as attractive headlights and taillights.
Talking about its dimensions, the 2020 Kia Telluride has a 196.9 inches length or in other words, it’s 7.9 inches longer than the Kia Sorento. While the width dimensions of this new three-row SUV reaches 78.3 inches (3.9 inches wider and 2.6 inches higher than the Sorento). As for the Telluride wheelbase dimensions reached 114.2 inches or 4.8 inches longer when compared to the Sorento.
It Shares the Same Unibody Platform with the Hyundai Palisade

Depending on the selected driving mode, it will send 50% of the available torque to the rear wheels. For example in Sport mode, the torque split from 100% up front to 65/35 split.
The Kia 3.8L V6 engine is also capable of carrying out Atkinson-cycle operations in order to increase fuel economy. As for its EPA fuel economy rating, the Telluride SUV gets scores at 19 – 20 mpg in the city, 24 – 26 mpg on the highway, and 21 – 23 mpg combined in the recent road test.
