The 2020 Jeep Gladiator should be able to become one of the most powerful and capable off-road pickup trucks in its class. It’s Based on the Jeep Wrangler Platform…
The all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler is claimed to be more modern, more refined and more comfortable compared to its predecessor. Nevertheless, this pickup truck still employs a solid and capable Dana 44 axle. As we know that the Wrangler became Jeep’s first pickup truck as a great successor of the Jeep Comanche whose production has been stopped since 1992. That might be one of the reasons why the latest Gladiators rely on the new Wrangler platform.
Under the hood, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator is powered by a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine that can produce 285 horsepower and 260 pound feet of torque. The Pentastar V6 can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic gearbox that is available as an optional package. In addition, there is also a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine rated at 260 horsepower and 442 pound feet of torque. However, this option will be available in 2020 after this pickup truck on-sale at the dealership floor.
