Mercedes-Benz has done a great job ahead of the Detroit Auto Show next month. The German-based automaker has officially revealed details of its new model in the W213 E-Class lineup – The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. The new two-door coupe version will follow his siblings that have been released to the market, including E-Class Sedan and Wagon. Of course, two other new models from Mercedes are also expected to be released soon in the US that includes the 2018 E-Class Coupe AMG and convertible versions.

The 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe seems to get a complete redesign. Under its hood, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with a peak output of up to 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Unfortunately, Mercedes will only offer two choices of trim levels on the new E-Class coupe, including E400 4MATIC all-wheel-drive and E400 rear-wheel-drive versions. Both will be paired to a new nine-speed automatic transmission and will replace the previous 7-speed transmission. Mercedes has claimed it can improve fuel efficiency and increase acceleration. In fact, RWD E400 version of the upcoming E-Class coupe is claimed to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 5.2 seconds. In other words, it was 0.9 seconds faster than the previous E400 coupe model, which is also equipped with a similar engine.

There is no official word about engine options for the full-version AMG and convertible models. However, according to some leaked info, we guess the 2018 E-Class Coupe AMG will most likely be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine derived from the Mercedes-AMG GT. Another possibility is the new V6 turbocharged engine with a peak output of 450 HP will power the E-Class Coupe AMG, could come to the United States as well.

According to our sources, release date for the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe is scheduled for next summer with sales at US dealers will begin shortly thereafter. While the convertible and AMG version is expected to be released within a few months after the coupe version reaches US dealers. Official pricing details has not been announced at this time. However, we expect the new E-Class coupe will go on sale in the United States with an estimated starting price of around $55,000 – $75,000. These extra costs should be paid by customer for all the beautiful design and power of the latest E-Class coupe.
