The four-door 2018 Jeep Wrangler has been caught undergoing testing several times in different locations, one of them caught in southeast Michigan. The Wrangler mule wrapped in camouflage that makes us difficult to identify them. However, for the 2018 model year, the iconic Jeep vehicles will most likely retain body-on-frame construction with mostly using steel material. While the hood and doors will obviously utilize aluminum material. We suspect the new Wrangler Unlimited JL will still have its iconic boxy design and will still rely on four-wheel drive system as well as solid front-rear axles.
In addition to the long-awaited upcoming Wrangler JL, FCA is also rumored to be introducing the all-new Wrangler pickup truck variant for the American market. The next-generation model will likely receive a redesigned front end and rear end. But it would retain a seven-slot grille design that is flanked by round headlights and LED lighting in the front bumper. As for the taillights, it’s expected to be similar to the current Jeep Renegade or even maybe similar to Ram truck.

There has been no official information regarding powertrain options and detailed specifications. Nonetheless, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler is expected to be available with a 3.0-liter Eco-Diesel V6 engine mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.
