After stopping production for nearly 20 years, the German automaker is finally ready to revive the BMW 8 Series next year. The BMW 8 Series is a Grand Tourer produced by BMW in 1989 to 1999 with the support of V8 and V12 engines. BMW says that the new 8 Series coupe will be one of the biggest models in the company’s history. Basically, it has been previewed by the BMW Concept 8 Series which is on display at the 2017 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. As a two-door coupe, this concept car adopts a sharp, bold and dashing design, and has a proportion like Maserati.
Speaking of design language, the 2018 BMW 8 Series will come with an iconic, luxurious, exclusive design language and reflects the peak performance of a two-door sports coupe. The sporty and high-performance characters are also reflected in the “carbon fiber front lip beneath”, as well as the “slender laser lights sporting signature” that flank the kidney grille at the front end as you can see in the new BMW 5 and 7 Series. Meanwhile, the Concept 8 Series comes with a special exterior color “Barcelona Grey Liquid” and using 21-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the interior, there is a center console that displays a fairly large infotainment screen. The new model is also equipped with a sleek sports seat and interior decorated with Marino leather with dark brown and white. The carbon fiber touch also adorns the cockpit area, while the center console, instrument panel, doors are smoothly connected.
