Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd a few days ago has announced plans to introduce the all-new 2015 Subaru WRX on its official debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show to be held from November 22 to December 1 (public). But specifically for journalists, the production version of the new WRX can be seen starting on November 20 to 21 (Press Day) at the Subaru booth.
In the same announcement, Subaru also released a teaser image that shows the front-end design of the 2015 WRX sedan. The full production model featuring an aggressive front fascia design with unique grille and LED-infused headlights, as well as large air intakes.
Shortly after Subaru released a teaser image, two leaked images hit the internet that allegedly WRX actual production version. However, the two leaked images it looks bad, not convincing and may not be 100% accurate, at least in my opinion. :D In addition, Subaru hasn’t confirmed about the two leaked images.
Under its hood, the 2015 Subaru WRX will reportedly be powered by a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine capable of spewing up to 265 horsepower (198 kW) and over 244 ft-lb of torque. While the new WRX STi version can develop its maximum output to more than 305 HP, but it’s apparently still a rumor. It should be noted: Subaru hasn’t released detailed specs until the car actually introduced at the LA Auto Show this month.
Talking about release date schedule, the 2015 Subaru WRX will likely be officially launched early next year, while the next-gen WRX STi will be introduced in a few months later after the standard WRX sedan was launched. The next-gen WRX was first introduced at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March in the form of a luxury sports sedan concept.
