The next-gen 2015 Ford F-150 has recently caught in a secret testing, according to a recent report. This new pickup caught while undergoing secret testing in the full prototype version which is heavily camouflaged. However, the latest generation F-150 is expected to come with some important changes to its exterior and interior design, as well powertrain.
Nevertheless, the 2015 model year is likely to have a similar design to the 2013 Ford Atlas Concept that has been introduced for the first time at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. In addition, the next-gen F-150 was reportedly inspired by the Atlas concept. However, it’s only a matter of time for us to prove the hidden facts of a secret testing which was recently held for the new F-150.
Previously, several hot rumors revealed that the 2015 Ford F-150 will utilize very lightweight aluminum materials to make its body. This is believed to provide significant weight reduction compared to the previous generation F-150.
Under its hood, the next-generation F-150 pickup is likely to be powered by an all-new naturally-aspirated V8 EcoBoost engine. As we know, the EcoBoost engine is able to provide better fuel efficiency on several other Ford models, of course without compromising engine performance.
2015 Ford F-150 Release Date will most likely be set for late 2014
Speaking about the release date, we suspect that the release date for the 2015 Ford F-150 will be announced closer to the end of this year. Meanwhile, the full production model is expected to be officially revealed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show early next year, before the new model goes on sale in U.S. dealerships by the end of 2014.
