The 2015 Cadillac Escalade release date has been fully revealed and is scheduled to officially go on sale in U.S. dealerships next spring. This sport-utility vehicle will be available in two different models when it hit dealerships, including base and ESV.
Under the hood, the new SUV is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 EcoTec3 engine mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Compared to the previous generation, the new EcoTec3 engine is claimed more powerful without compromising fuel efficiency.
Linked to a 6-speed manual transmission, maximum power is rated at 420 horsepower and peak torque of 460 lb-ft. Cadillac offers two drive configuration options on the all-new 2015 Escalade which include rear-wheel drive as standard and four-wheel drive as optional.
Outside, the fourth-generation Cadillac Escalade gets an evolutionary redesign combined with the bolder stance and luxurious feel, while the front grille design is unique. Escalade ride on standard 20-inch wheels, but you can also order 22-inch wheels are available as an optional.
In order to get better handling, the new luxury SUV comes with a stronger chassis, also has Magnetic Ride Control and electric variable-assist power steering system which is claimed to improve fuel economy.
Inside the cabin, the new Escalade luxury SUV gets a significant change in the interior. The cabin design now looks more modern and receives benefits from the use of high quality materials. Cadillac offers some standard interior features such as CUE infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and genuine wood trim.
Not only that, the 2015 model year also has some additional features for its interior such as heated/cooled front-seats, optional Blu-Ray DVD multimedia system, ambient lighting and much more. Some other features will be available only as optional, so you can order it separately when you buy this SUV.
The all-new Escalade is now equipped with a number of new safety feature to ensure that the drivers and passengers are always in safe conditions. The new safety features including Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Change Alert and Front Seat Center-Mounted Air-bag.
According to the Detroit automaker, the Escalade is scheduled to go into production line in spring 2014 at the GM Arlington Assembly Plant in Texas. While its sales will begin a few weeks later, shortly after production began.
Pricing will be announced closer to its on-sale date and to remind you that the price range for the 2014 Cadillac Escalade is $67,970 – $83,450 (MSRP). Price tag for the 2015 models might not be much different from the current model.
