Cadillac has quietly planned to introduce the new 2015 ATS Coupe at the Detroit Motor Show early next year. The new coupe is targeted to beat some of its rivals when it arrives in the U.S. market next year, including the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4 and BMW 3-series.
Although there is no official confirmation from GM, but the ATS coupe will likely be available in several engine options with four-cylinder configuration such as a 2.5-liter engine that produces 202 horsepower and 2.0-liter turbocharged engine connected to a six-speed manual gearbox, can develop up to 272 horsepower.
In addition, this car will reportedly come with a 3.6-liter V6 engine with a maximum output of 321 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. The high-performance ATS-V Coupe will be powered by a new 3.2-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that is capable of spewing up to 500 horsepower. A six-speed manual gearbox will reportedly be available as standard on all engine options.
Cadillac has not yet announced the 2015 ATS coupe release date but according to Edmunds, the new coupe is scheduled to go on sale in U.S. dealerships next spring. No word on price forecasts, so we are hoping to see the official announcement ahead of its premiere debut at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show in January.
