The 2015 BMW X3 facelift has finally been officially revealed and is scheduled to go on sale at the U.S. dealerships this spring with a base price of $39,325, including a $925 destination charge. In addition to announcing the price tag, the German automaker is also releasing the full details related to its specifications and carries a set of high-resolution photo gallery.
As we have said before, the facelifted BMW X3 will now be equipped with a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that can offer two different outputs. The new xDrive20d variant can generate up to 190 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which allows the crossover to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds.
If you are looking for environmentally-friendly vehicles, perhaps you could consider a sDrive18d variant, because the new sDrive18d model now also powered by a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine with a maximum output of at least 150 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. Linked with rear-wheel drive setup, the 2015 BMW X3 sDrive18d has fuel economy ratings of 47 mpg or around 5.0 L/100 km with CO2 emissions of just 131 g/km.
Talking about the exterior design, the new BMW X3 SUV is now getting some significant changes and improvements that include new bumpers, redesigned front grille and revised headlights. Not only that, the facelifted models also offers several new exterior color choices, complete with updated alloy wheel designs. The optional Xline packages will also be available, which adds new equipment such as 18-inch and 19-inch exclusive alloy wheels.
As usual, BMW will still offer the optional M Sport package, which provides a number of benefits with the addition of an aerodynamic body kit, sport-tuned suspension, 20-inch alloy wheels, shadow line trim, sport seats and anthracite roof liner. While the interior does not get much change but only revisions in some areas such as upholstery, trim and cup holders. The interior is equipped with several new features that include a new infotainment system, BMW ConnectedDrive and iDrive Controller with integrated touchpad.
As for safety features, the 2015 BMW X3 crossover has been equipped with the latest safety features such as anti-dazzle High-Beam Assistant, full-color Head-Up Display and Parking Assistant. In addition, BMW also offers preventive pedestrian protection, Lane Departure Warning, Active Cruise Control featuring Stop & Go function.
