2014 Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler Edition Release Date Revealed

Jeep has officially revealed the 2014 Wrangler Willys Wheeler Edition ahead of its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show to be held from November 22 to December 1. In the same announcement, Chrysler Group LLC also announced the official release date schedule.

According to the Detroit automaker, the special edition is based on the Wrangler Sport models and will go on sale with a base price of $25,795 (MSRP). The new Willys Wheeler edition get a unique touch of gloss black on the bumper, grille and wheels, as well as featuring Willys hood decals and Sunrider soft top.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch wheels with gloss black style and wrapped in BF Goodrich KM Mud Terrain LT255/75R17 tires. However, there are no changes to the engine spec and it’s still uses the same engine as the standard model.

The Wrangler Willys Wheeler is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine capable of spewing up to 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Pentastar V6 engine can be paired to either a standard six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox, the latter available as optional.

The American brand offers some key features that include Command-Trac 4×4 system, Rated Kit (D-Ring, tow strap & gloves) and Dana 44 rear axle with Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential plus 3.73 gears.

Speaking about the release date, the 2014 Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler Edition is scheduled to go on sale in the U.S. Jeep showrooms early next year. This special edition is priced at $25,795 (MSRP) for the two-door models, while the unlimited four-door models starts at $29,595 (MSRP).
