The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 has been fully revealed for the first time at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. According to the Detroit automaker, the model gets some revisions and updates.
Talking about the specs, this updated model featuring a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine that’s connected exclusively to a new 8-speed automatic gearbox with quick-shift features. As a result, this 6.4L HEMI engine can produce up to 470 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.
With a new gearbox, the 2014 model year now have faster acceleration and better fuel consumption compared to last year’s model, according to Jeep. Unfortunately, we currently don’t have any information related to the acceleration and top speed.
Speaking about 0-60 mph, the previous-generation Grand Cherokee SRT8 can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 5.0 seconds before hitting its top speed at 160 mph. Once again, we don’t have data for the upcoming models.
Some revisions also appear on its exterior, including five-spoke alloy wheels, revised front grille, new LED headlights and updated rear spoiler. As for the launch date, the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 release date is expected to be revealed soon.
