2014 Honda S660 Concept set for Tokyo Motor Show Debut

The Japanese based automaker Honda has announced plans to introduce the new S660 concept on its official debut at the Tokyo Motor Show next month. The production version of the Honda Urban SUV along with Acura NSX concept can also be seen at the Honda stand during the auto show takes place.

The 2014 Honda S660 is powered by a small 660cc turbocharged 3-cylinder engine mated to a seven-speed CVT, which is capable of spewing up to 64 horsepower. The car weight is estimated at 900 kg.

This concept car is almost identical to the Honda EV-STER concept which makes its official debut at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. However, the EV-STER is a pure electric-powered sports car that is equipped with a 10-kWh lithium-ion battery which is capable of producing up to 78 horsepower.


According to recent reports, the Honda S660 will only be sold and produced in Japan in 2015. Honda has yet to confirm for the global market but the S660 can be sold on the global market with a different engine spec from the Japanese S660.

For global products, the Honda S660 will reportedly be equipped with a turbocharged 1.0-liter engine capable of spewing up to 100 horsepower.
