Some time ago Autoblog and Reuters informs that the 2015 Ford Mustang could be released before the end of this year. That means that the official release date schedule may be very close to the next month (November).
But in the same report, the 2014 New York Auto Show can also be a major event to introduce the next-gen Mustang, according to the report. We don’t know for sure, whether it’s true or just a rumor.
Car & Driver recently also published a number of leaked photos that show the latest Mustang design and it’s claimed almost definitely, very close to the real design. On the Car & Driver website, the Mustang design can be seen from all angles (exclusive 360º view).
Talking about its engine spec, the 2015 Ford Mustang reportedly be available in three engine options. The first option, a naturally-aspirated 3.8-liter V6 engine capable of spewing up to 300 horsepower and maximum torque reaches 290 lb-ft. The EPA estimated fuel economy is rated at 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.
Next, the 2.4-liter GTDI inline 4-cylinder engine could be a second option, producing peak power output up to 310 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy ratings predicted to be around 22/32 mpg (city/highway).
If that’s not enough, then you can see the last option. The 4.9-liter V8 engine might be a consideration, with a maximum output reaches 430 horsepower and peak torque of 396 lb-ft, can return 18/28 mpg (city/highway).
Lastly, there are four gearbox options, including six-speed manual, seven-speed manual, six-speed automatic and 10-speed automatic gearbox. The convertible version of the 2015 Ford Mustang will also be present in the near future.
